Pre-Conference Open Space Learning Workshop

9th - 11th October 2012, London United Kingdom.
Venue: Toynbee Studios, Studio 3, 28 Commercial Street, London E1 6AB

We are delighted to welcome Lisa Heft to London in the days before WOSonOS to teach an OS learning workshop. If you are new to OS or want support on what you already know we highly recommend attending this. Here is Lisa's invitation:

You may have heard of Open Space or participated in something called Open Space or  "an Unconference" and wondered why it did not work- or whether it really was Open Space in its complete and most effective form.

Or you may have experienced something that sparked your interest as you watched a group self-organise in a highly productive process and wondered if it was this thing called Open Space.

Join me for 2.5 days of mutual learning about preparing for, facilitating and supporting productivity and effectiveness in Open Space.

Together you will explore issues and opportunities in your own work groups, experience an Open Space, and really delve into all those elements of pre-work that can support the success of an Open Space event.

Everything from developing a theme to exploring invitation and outreach, design, planning, materials, how the site, food and other elements impact or enhance an Open Space event, why/ why not to hybridise this particular method, how to include action planning if appropriate, "what-ifs", "when not to"s, participant driven forms of documentation, suggestions for the sustainability of ideas, relationships and actions post-event, and more....

To book tickets click the "BOOK TICKETS" button above.

Pricing - as with all of my workshops - is flexible - custom tailored to what you as an individual can contribute and afford.

I ask everyone to pay as much as they can for their tickets. If you are not sure how much to pay, get in touch and we can work it out together, but a few examples are:

  1. Someone coming from a large organisation: £650
  2. Someone coming from a smaller organisation: £350
  3. Someone coming as an individual who is on a full wage: £250
  4. Someone coming as an individual who is studying, or on a low wage: £150
If none of these examples seem right for you or for more information on content, schedule and pricing contact Liz at OSLearningWorkshop@gmail.com
I look forward to learning with and from you,
Lisa

Note: Lisa Heft makes only one request before you attend the event: read Harrison Owen’s book, "Open Space Technology: A Users Guide". Please read this even if you have experienced or read about Open Space or something like it, even if you have encountered other writings by Harrison: this is so that everyone comes with a common vocabulary and a basic understanding of the method.
